I am in my young 60's and still love playing , singing and teaching others . I started at the age of 9 and was hooked, Studied in two studios in San Diego CA as Teenager and continuing back here in North Attleboro at Miconi's , as I had my own family, taught my three girls to sing and two of them the guitar and have been blessed to play many get together s with them for family , friends and strangers from Birthday, Weddings, Holiday and Funerals . I'm constantly learning to improve and teach and encourage others to as well . I offer a Technique that will teach you about the Guitar so you know your instrument, How to play Chords, Basic Strum Patterns, Base runs, and scales and more advance, will teach, Hammer On's, Pull Offs, Finger Picking techniques & using a Capo. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to spend a few min and see what they are trying to achieve , how they hold the guitar and can position their fingers and if they are comfortable with it. Then talk about they kind of music they want to play most and songs and set goals to help them achieve what that hired me for. I've taught many and some just don't have what it takes because of their ability to hold the instrument and play chords , notes , scales etc. If your not able to provide a guitar to play then I will be happy to provide one until you do .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 50 years being a musician and yrs of teaching . I've played at many private outings and Family and Friends Get to get togethers. I've been in bands from high school up until my late 40's , still play out occasionally . Studied locally at a M Music and in San Diego while in High School there. Played from Maine to Key west , Mid west , and local . Hope that gives you an idea of my experience and love for music.
