What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I love to treat the first lesson like an interview to

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

i love

How did you get started teaching?

I like to treat the first lesson like an interview where I can learn about the student and what they want to accomplish , musical loves , past experience learning music , basic likes and dislikes.  I also like to find out the way they feel they learn the best so I can lay out a plan to get them where the want to be

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students ages 7 to 65 . I have had total beginners to professional that are board with their playing or need fresh ideas . I've taught in a private school for over ten years as well with kids from first to eight grade one kn one and in groups

I've also run several band camps playing pop, rock , soul , and jazz

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I recently have been touring with a 4 piece rock group that plays with 60 piece symphony orchestras around the country to sold out houses  . On one of our tours we got to do a show and tell with all the elementary schools in the area and had the kids up on stage to sing with us . That was amazing

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I would tell them to think about what they want to get better at and have a list of questions to ask the teacher to see if they would be a good fit for you

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

what styles do you teach

what is your performing experience

how long have you been teaching
