About this pro

I specialize in Acoustic Guitar, Fingerstyle Jazz, Blues, R&B and African styles. I prefer to focus on improvisation, chords, scales and song devlopment. I will have the student pick a song and we will go from there. Music is a language and has to be developed over time. I am a very laidback/positive person in general and will encourage the student.

I love to see growth in the student and enjoy sharing my knowledge and expertise. I have learned from some great teachers and love to pass it on.

You could search for a long time and never find a teacher like this. In a very short period of time Paul has completely changed my playing. I sound like a much more experienced guitar player. This is the difference between Paul and any other teacher. I am soooooo happy to have found Paul! I have taken lessons on and off for 15 years. If you want to become a better guitar player and you are willing to put some practice time in. Hire Paul!! He is a virtuoso chord melody fingerstyle genius. What he does without thinking is crazy!!! Paul got me playing immediately was able to hook me by pairing me up with songs that he knew I would be excited about.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a musician who has toured across the country. I lived in LA for 2 years and produced and recorded Fahari, an African Fusion Album. I have had private lessons with some of the best teachers in New England. I currently have a monthly gig at Gulu Gulu in Salem MA if you would like to come and see the show.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

40 dollars an Hour

How did you get started teaching?

My older brother is a professor in music and he encouraged me to teach as I progressed in my career.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Try to find a teacher that plays the way you want to play. If you dont like the way they sound then you wont like what they teach you most likely.
