About
I specialize in Acoustic Guitar, Fingerstyle Jazz, Blues, R&B and African styles. I prefer to focus on improvisation, chords, scales and song devlopment. I will have the student pick a song and we will go from there. Music is a language and has to be developed over time. I am a very laidback/positive person in general and will encourage the student.
I love to see growth in the student and enjoy sharing my knowledge and expertise. I have learned from some great teachers and love to pass it on.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a musician who has toured across the country. I lived in LA for 2 years and produced and recorded Fahari, an African Fusion Album. I have had private lessons with some of the best teachers in New England. I currently have a monthly gig at Gulu Gulu in Salem MA if you would like to come and see the show.

How did you get started teaching?
My older brother is a professor in music and he encouraged me to teach as I progressed in my career.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try to find a teacher that plays the way you want to play. If you dont like the way they sound then you wont like what they teach you most likely.
