About

Hi! My name is Flora Sullivan and I am a drummer from Berkeley, CA, and the 2026 Jimmy Lyons Scholarship Award winner, granting me full tuition to attend Berklee College of Music. I perform in multiple bands (a salsa band, jazz bands, and pop bands) and direct a recording session series featuring Berklee artists in Boston. My performance credits span the Garden and Courtyard Stages of the Monterey Jazz Festival (where I will be returning this September); Mr. Tipples Jazz Club in San Francisco; KCSM Radio's Jazz on the Hill; and Boston venues, including the Berklee Performance Center, the Lilypad, and the Middle East. I have performed in Berklee ensembles led by Matt Stevens, Kris Davis, Linda May Han Oh, and Jacques Schwarz-Bart. I have been teaching almost as long as I have been playing, and am looking forward to working with you! Feel free to reach out with any questions.
