Matthew’s Piano Lessons

I am currently a student at Berklee College of Music. I really love working with children or adults that are new to piano. I have a very intuitive lesson plan to teach students all the basics so that they have a solid foundation to become a great pianist. My students will learn, scales, cadences, arpeggios, music theory and learn to read music. I like to create a fun learning environment where students can grow from their mistakes and understand the material on a deeper level through artistic expression. If the student has interest in writing music I create assingments that ask the student to use the material I taught them that week in a short composition. I find that applying new information in this way helps to retain it faster and makes practicing enjoyable.
