About
As head of the guitar department at Boston Conservatory for 20 years, and head of the classical guitar programs at UMass Lowell and UMass Dartmouth for almost 10 years, I have worked with students of all levels including those of very high caliber. This experience has helped me to analyze just about every possible technical issue and I am able to pinpoint problems and offer suggestions to resolve the issues in a very efficient and targeted manner.
Through my training and experiences playing with top notch musicians for many years I am able to craft stylized interpretations of many different styles of music, and I love guiding and encouraging my students to play as expressively as possible. Technique is a means to an end, and the ultimate goal is to make beautiful music on the guitar.
I love playing the guitar, and being able to share this love with students is very rewarding to me. I really enjoy interacting with all of my students, and we always have a great time in our lessons!
