Boston Guitarist
About
The Boston Guitarist provides professional guitar lessons throughout Greater Boston. Our studio is located in Allston, MA, but we do home-call visits as well. Our instructors are Jazz guitarists with a minimum of 10 years of active musicianship. We teach the Berklee Method for contemporary music. Our curriculum is an in-depth study of music theory, improvisation and modern technique. We do not focus on brutal sight-reading or memorization, but teach through technical exercises that equip students with the faculty needed to read, write and perform music regardless of genre. It's great for students who are into jazz or pop and want to pursue Berklee instead of a classical conservatory. The knowledge will allow you to join any band while building your songwriting and improvisational chops.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Overall, I love teaching music! Through attentive 1on1 instruction I developed a program that accommodates my student's goals. I emphasize technique with drills designed to raise my students' skills evenly across a wide range of categories, like picking, fretting, scale patterns, chord shapes, chord progressions, rhythm training, and ear training. I can guide a complete beginner toward being able to play songs and have fun. For the more serious student I have a plan that will make you a better player and musician guaranteed.
I have a studio located in Allston, MA, but I can also travel to you. My schedule is flexible and I do my best to accomidate every student's individual needs. I also work with special needs and people with disabilities
