Clara’s Piano Studio
About
I am a classically trained Jazz pianist, and I play various genres. I have my method on training and building up the fingering technique for my student and helping my students to understand any music genres from the harmonic and compositional perspective. No matter what goal they are trying to achieve as a pianist, I will help them build their musicianship from bottom to up.
I learn from my students as much as they learned from me.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would get to know my student as a person first. I would like to know what kind of music experiences they had, what style of music moves them the most, etc. Because playing music is strongly reflecting a person as who they are. Knowing their personality helps me to decide what music to assign them to learn. Training fingering technique is mostly a must working with me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a bachelor degree in Piano Performance and Jazz Composition.
I am doing a master degree in Jazz Performance in University of the Northern Colorado.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. What kind of music you enjoying listen to the most?
2. I will give you advice and methods on how to practice as well as helping you to understand the music, but only if you devote time to the music, to practice so that our study gets meaning! It's mutual work for us!
