My teaching approach:
First of all, I want the students to be able to actually play songs. I have been playing and training for 15 years so I know my theory and techniques.I want to take you where you want to go as a player.The lessons have a little bit of what you want to know and what you need to know such as theory.I want it to be fun while you are learning.I take students of all ages and anyone can learn! 401212-6480

Randy Rhoads, Dimebag Daroll, Ozzy, Amy Lee. I am influenced by anything creative ultimately. I am a songwriter and I love anything with a lot of feel.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:
I would asses their ability by how they play what they consider their best piece and follow by asking general knowledge questions about timing, open chords, etc.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
A typical guitar lesson will entail a review of the week prior if the student has been taking lessons, followed by tips and pointers on things they can do better. Sometimes a lesson may take a couple weeks for a student to grasp, but that is dependent on the student. You will learn basic theory, reading and how to play of your favorite songs along the way. The student will always be play during their lesson so I know they understand the material.
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
My ideal student is someone who ultimately loves the instrument and loves playing it. I take anyone from beginner levels to intermediate/advance. It always helps when the students are practicing the material on a weekly basis so the lessons are efficient and constructive.
