I have been playing guitar for over 5 decades and have written and recorded over 100 original songs.
I not only teach my students how to read notes and play chords, but I also introduce them to a variety of finger-picking patterns as well as scales and modes along the entire fret board.
Also, I teach students how to feel rhythm, to understand the concept of improvisation, and to create their own songs, melodies, and warm-up exercises.
Finally, I teach advanced students the art of multitrack recording. I own a portable 4-track recording studio and a portable 32-track recording studio.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin lessons by teaching students notes on the first string. I gradually advance toward the sixth string, depending on the students' ability to memorize notes and play songs.
