I have a BA in Music Education from the Crane School of Music, along with 35 years experience as a professional musician and 24 years as a public school music teacher.
My students learn at a faster pace than average because of my extensive experience in the classroom. Time management, instrumental pedagogy and music theory are taught at a pace that moves the student along and creates results. These incremental achievements build confidence on the chosen instrument while boosting self esteem.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have each student complete a survey on their past experience with music, what their goals are (and timeline for meeting those goals,) along with their favorite artists. We then perform for each other (if the student feels comfortable.) We then start the lesson with an objective in mind.
