I'm an Artist In Piano + Violin & School Teacher. I'm a poetic player with fire. A family noted "Miss Yu is a very gifted teacher who has high standards and is warm and encouraging in her unique way". I created a teaching Method "Mental Health For Our Daily Life" is to foster the mind to speak with the eyes before fingers come to play. Students and families have found it improving their learning tremendously.

I use selective books to take care of fundamentals, theory, technical skills, and broad repertoire pieces for individual's interest.

I specialize in problem solving in reading, technical, interpreting musical phrases, enriching tonal dynamics, adding embellishments, and crafting finger touch on keys to create special sounds; cry, laugh and sing in my student's play.

I'm strict and I believe good return come from discipline and an opportunity to try before giving up. Learning any instrument needs all that. I dedicate my responsibility as being a teacher is to make sure students go home with something achieved from each lesson.

Nothing can be better than teaching; you learn as you teach; you gain knowledge from confronting what you can to make happen during the learning process with students. It's a joy to be around with varieties of music and students every day.
