Ginta’s Piano Studio
About
I’ve been teaching in the US since I moved there 25 years ago. I moved a lot within the US, so it’s my fourth state after living in Chicago, Cleveland and Atlanta. Before having family and kids, I kept my studio really large; in Chicago I had 45 students every week. Now I keep my class much smaller to be able to take care of my 3 school-age kids and to continue to keep my studio policy very “family friendly”, which means you will never have to pay for the lesson you couldn’t make; I will be able to accommodate you some other day that week, or we will do twice next week if there was such a need. That’s a luxury of small class.
I usually do winter or/and end of the school year recitals at my home, where I have a beautiful grand piano.
Since I don’t believe in obligating families in any way, I don’t do any contracts, - the payment is month to month .
I do include in my lessons some music theory ( fun writing/drawing homework ) and some music history, since I do believe this being very important in general basics of musical education.
My rates:
40 min lesson -$50
(discounted to 95 for two back to back lessons for 2 students in one family)
30 min lesson- $44 (discounted to $85 for 2 back to back lessons)
Same price either in my studio or at my student’s home (within 15 min distance from my house).
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
I usually like to schedule “meet and greet” visit first, which of course if free of any charge; so the kids could meet me and for me to have an idea what books we will be using for our future studying. We can use the ones you have, or I buy it for you myself.
having 3 kids of my own (10, 14,16), I enjoy communication about music and music history, I enjoy smiles and enjoyement of my students faces from being able to play beutiful music. I enjoy being able to contribute to general education of a person, who will be ppretiating arts and music for the rest of their lifes.
