About
I am a classically trained jazz and classical pianist with a bachelors and doctoral degree in composition. I am on faculty at Berklee College of Music, MIT, and New England Conservatory. My experience and expertise in music stretches to all genres and that gives me a unique perspective in teaching all styles of music. I teach all different skill levels and use a pedagogical approach based around the direction and intentions of my students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Building a relationship is very important to progress in our lessons. I like to get to know my students over the first few weeks by talking about our interests and goals in music and life. This way I am better able to teach from a personal perspective - something that fosters a creative and respectful learning environment
