I offer piano/music lessons for students of all ages and abilities from beginners to advanced students. I offer many styles of piano lessons from classical to jazz and pop. I specialize in identifying each of my students learning styles and in creating a musical learning experience that works for their individual needs. I believe that every person is musically unique and I strive to provide the right combination of training and support that will allow them to thrive musically.
I hold both Bachelor of Music & Master of Music in Music Composition & Piano performance from Seoul, South Korea. I also earned BM in Film scoring from Berklee College of Music, MFA from Emerson College and Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Composition from New England Conservatory of Music.
I am a firm believer that music is beneficial in many aspects of life. Piano study develops not only a lifelong appreciation and love for music, but also important life skills. It develops your creativity, concentration, dedication and perseverance. Refines your time management and organisation skills, enhances mathematical ability, and increases responsibility and memory capacity (just to name some of the many advantages of learning and instrument). For this reason my studio is open to everyone willing to learn how to play, from 4 years old to retired adults.
1 year ago, we enrolled our 4 year old son and 6 year old daughter into Bobbie’s Studio .. they were so delighted with the music they were learning that they would draw notes everywhere and would run downstairs to our piano in the morning and play the new music they had learned...It's such a joy witnessing my kids learning the art of music in a truly warm, personal and caring environment.
I am very impressed by Bobbie’s unique way of teaching piano. Her teaching method is thorough and instructive, which helps build a solid foundation for students to develop their interests and skills in playing piano
