About
I have over 30 years of teaching experience, 18 of them teaching at Berklee College of Music, where I still teach. I am a warm, non-judgemental, and friendly person, and I love to teach. I'm also a professional keyboard and upright bass player with close to 40 years of professional performing experience in all kinds of musical styles.
Private teaching at my home studio is my favorite kind of teaching because it allows me to mold my lessons to what each student needs. I make a personal connection with each student and discover their learning style and musical goals. Thus, I can taylor my approach to that student in an individual way, including how much information to give and work to assign at each lesson.
