Our violin instructor says: Violin is my life. I was trained to be a concert violinist, and won my country's youth concert competition at the age of 11. But I love giving the gift of violin to others through my teaching, and that is what I've dedicated my life to.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We always start with a trial lesson followed a free consultation where you can ask Stan anything you want, to help you decide if our studio is the right place for your family. This lesson will also help to evaluate the student, and to develop the best plan of studies for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Stan has been studying violin since the age of 3. In Latvia, he studied at Latvia's State Conservatory. In Cambridge MA, he did graduate studies at the Longy School of Music, where he obtained 2 Masters degrees in Music (in classical as well as modern American music) and an Artist Diploma in violin performance (like a PhD).

Stan has been teaching violin since he came to the USA in 1993 as a graduate music student.
What types of students have you worked with?
Stan's students have ranged from 3-year old beginners to professional adults looking to prepare for auditions and competitions.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I encourage my students to supplement my private lessons with participation in select youth orchestras in the Boston area. Recently, two of my students had orchestra auditions, one at NEC and another at Rivers Conservatory. They both got in.
