About
I give students a full service. I teach violin technique, music interpretation, music theory, how to read music, and music history. I believe that students fully enjoy their playing if they are able to receive a complete musical education, and not only learning the notes.
I am passionate about music and teaching. I really enjoy to communicate my knowledge and love to others, and to see them satisfied and happy.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I make an assessment of the student's musical knowledge, his/her violin experience and technique, and intonation (singing). I ask what they are aiming for: Do they want to get serious with the instrument, or do they only want to learn the notes and have a nice time, etc. All this allows me to get a picture on how to proceed with the lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied violin and music theory for fout years at the Modern School of Music in Santiago, Chile. After my professor left the School, I took private violin lessons with him for six more years.
I have a classical music training. My professor was very solid on technique, intonation and musical interpretation, and I have acquired his methods.
How did you get started teaching?
I am passionate about teaching. I was an economic and financial lecturer for four years at the university, and a teaching assistant for four years before that. Since I love music and the violin, I also started teaching the instrument. I have taught the violin sporadically, though, since my students stopped learning because of their other academic obligations.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have had students with no experience with the violin, but with some musical knowledge and talent, and other instrument experience, such as the piano and guitar.
