About
What I'm happiest and most proud about is watching someone become a guitarist in the most fun and natural way possible. It really is a shared experience of discovery for both teacher and student. My approach to teaching is focused on the individual and not a regimented theory-based curriculum. One of the things that sets my lessons apart is my ability to teach my students how to compose their own songs. It's a natural progression and is taught if the student would like to go beyond simply playing the guitar and other people's music.
I believe what makes my teaching unique is my open and adaptable style. It's all about personalization, flexibility and most of all joy because without it life loses its meaning.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Because I teach beginners I start with the basics. The anatomy of the guitar, how to hold the pick, finger exercises to promote strength and flexibility and their first two chords to practice strumming. Every skill set I teach them is a progressive one to bring them to the next level of learning while keeping it loose and fun.
