About

I think of myself more of a professional student rather than a teacher. This makes me patient with the learning process but also adaptable. Everyone learns differently so I can adjust my teaching style to reflect how the student learns naturally.

I like watching a student come into there own. Not just making progress, but recognizing what they do well, what type of music they want to play, but more than anything, hearing them say "Now I get it."

My ten year old son has been taking guitar lessons from Greg for a few years now and we couldn’t be happier with the results. In just a few lessons Max was able to play The intro to his favorite AC/DC song. Since then he has learned so much and he looks forward to his lesson with Greg every week. I really love Greg’s teaching style because he really listens to my son and gives him the freedom to express himself creatively all the while covering all the fundamental building blocks of learning to play guitar. Great teacher! We love him!

Ok so listen, I’m a 34 year old that woke up one day and decided to take piano lessons. I feel like this paints the picture. It’s scientifically proven that it’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks. But taking lessons with Greg has been the opposite of that. He’s patient. He’s funny. His teaching style isn’t too stuffy so he makes you feel relaxed. He’s definitely taught this old dog new tricks. I would definitely recommend him to anyone of any age to take lessons with him.

Greg has an easygoing, stress-free teaching style that honors the individual student’s mood, personality, and musical interests. Two young daughters have learned piano, guitar, and voice from Greg, and he has encouraged them to learn and perform (and create!) pieces by ear without needing the technicalities of reading music and learning musical notation, though they can learn this too if they so desire. Greg gauges the abilities and interests of the student, and caters each lesson to the student’s desires and needs. This no-pressure, follow-the-stident’s-lead approach has endeared him to my daughters and to me. I started studying piano with Greg after seeing him work with my daughters for several years. Greg is a busy performer with his own band, so he has real-world experience from which to draw. He uses his performing experience, apps and technology, traditional musical notation, humor, whatever it takes, to connect with each student and make the experience personal and meaningful. He is a creative teacher who loves what he does and loves sharing his knowledge with his students. We highly recommend Greg for music and voice lessons.

Greg has an innate ability to meet his students where they are at and guide them to become their best. He helps my son build confidence and foster his love for music. As a teacher he is both patient and humble and shares his passion for music and his vast knowledge. My son loves him, we all do! We could never imagine taking lessons with anyone else ever! Greg is a special person, I’m grateful to have him in our lives.
