About
Krystal is a talented and versatile musician with a passion for teaching piano. Born and raised in China, she immigrated to the US in 2015 with her family.
Krystal began studying classical piano at the young age of six and later transitioned to jazz piano while in college.
Krystal graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance, where she had the privilege of studying under renowned pianists and educators Nando Michelin and Laszlo Gardony. During her undergraduate studies, Krystal had the opportunity to collaborate with several famous musicians, including Wu Man, Yo-Yo Ma, and Grammy award-winning songwriter Aoife O'Donovan. Additionally, she performed in numerous concerts in Boston, further refining her skills as a pianist and performer.
Krystal has been an experienced piano teacher for several years in both English and Mandarin,and her teaching approach focuses on helping students discover and develop their innate musicality through rhythm, ear training, movement, and improvisation.
She is dedicated to fostering a love of music in her students through her patient guidance and unwavering passion for music education. Krystal takes pride in leading her students down a path of self-discovery and helping them broaden their horizons as musicians.
