About Simone Mead
Simone Mead is an accomplished pianist and educator with an international background in performance, ballet accompaniment, and teaching. She trained at leading institutions including Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester for gifted children, the Royal College of Music in London, UK and the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, where she earned her Master of Music in Piano Performance.
Her career has encompassed solo and collaborative performance, as well as extensive work in the world of dance. Based in Boston, she serves as a pianist for Boston Ballet, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, José Mateo Ballet Theatre, and Tufts University. Known for her sensitivity, versatility, and artistry, Simone is recognized as one of the region’s leading ballet accompanists.
In addition to her performing career, Simone is a dedicated teacher with more than a decade of experience running a private piano and ballet studio in London, where her students consistently achieved exceptional results in ABRSM examinations. Several went on to earn places at prestigious institutions such as Chetham’s School of Music. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes a balance of technical rigor, musical expression, and personal growth, creating an environment where students are both challenged and inspired.
