What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's degree from New England Conservatory and a Bachelor's from the Berklee College of Music, both in guitar performance. I have professional experience as a guitar player on the east coast as well as experience writing music with bands.

How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching students in Memphis. I was mostly working with friends' family members, but now I generally prefer working with adults.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all ages. I have experience with everyone from young children to retirees.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Guitar is a very diverse instrument and while I am fairly versatile, if you want deep lessons in a particular style, you may want to find a specialist in that style. That being said I have specialized knowledge of Classical guitar!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask yourself what you really want to do and not what you feel like you need to do to reach your authentic goals!
