How did you get started teaching?
Ever since I was a child I've had a desire to teach and to become a musician. In high school, I made the biggest decision of my life: to leave the trade school I was attending and go public to learn more about music, theater, and public education. Almost a decade later, I have accredited collegiate experience to prove my intelligence in the field of Music Education.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all kinds of people, ranging from age five all the way through high school and over the hill.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was recently blessed to perform at Carnegie Hall for a sold out crowd. It was an incredible experience made possible by DCINY and my amazing choir director from Bridgewater State University, Dr. Steven Young.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Use your gut. You'll be paying this individual loads of your hard earned money to sharpen your skills in their expertise, and you may come to realize that not everyone is a perfect fit. However, there will be educators out there who you will have a very close and personal connection with; ones that will take you under their wing and show you what they know to their best ability. I hope to be that for you.
