The JD School Of Music
About
I want to inspire in my students the love of music I found at a young age. Playing and having fun are crucial to gaining a passion for music. My goal is to get my students excited about playing so they're self motivated to practice and improve quickly!
I have always enjoyed teaching. It's a very rewarding job watching my students improve and overcome the difficulties attached to learning something new. I also write and perform with multiple bands, on multiple instruments, which can be tough work sometimes but is always a blast!

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started taking piano lessons when I was 6 years old and studied jazz, rock, pop, and blues piano until I went to Berklee College of Music 12 years later. There I studied film scoring and contemporary composition. Over the years I have picked up many other instruments and have now recorded many albums as a drummer, pianist, bassist, and guitarist.
