About
Dancepheen Productions is a business that works with all styles of performing arts including dance, conducting shows, and helping the community. Javey Adams, The founder is a 23 year old Self-taught dancer who specializes in Hip-Hop but hold many other styles under her belt. I have been performing on stage since the early age of 6, starting with a style called “Liturgical” , a term used in the church, which is similar to jazz/modern/improv. I later fell in love with the styles of Hip-Hop and a special style based in LA called “Krump”. My passion is to help change the Baltimore community within the youth and help make a difference.
The thing I enjoy the most is making a difference in the youth and helping change the community for the better. I love watching the growth in my students and the happiness I instill in them with learning.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first objective working with a new student is to first see the level that they are on with their skills. After I detect the level of skill that individual I have I then look for their strengths and weaknesses to be able to point out what needs immediate attention. Once that all is figured out I then began the process of teaching them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been under training with Professionally trained individuals with degrees in dance. At an early age I was trained by a certified teacher which where I learned mt liturgical skills from. Currently, I am under training of a trainer with a a degree from Baltimore School of The Arts, along with other training, shows, and experiences in between.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My prices are very affordable. For basic training let’s there is a fee of $75 a month for a full 6 week course, all ages.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching at the age of 15 years old. Assisting with dance teachers in dance studios and teaching people on my spare time. I officially began teaching Baltimore City Students this year, 2019.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with individuals of all ages. From ages 5-Adult. I have worked with all levels, from romedials to advanced in the style of Hip-Hop, Improv, Modern, And Stepping.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just recently performed as a special guest at a Baltimore City Community Organization’s annual community show case, Jubilee Arts, to bring out the youth talents in the community.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The very first thing is to go with your gut. Choose a teacher that is patient, willing to take their time, and not only care about dance but care for the student personally as well.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
There are many things that one should consider before talking to the teacher about their needs. First and foremost the student has to be clear on exactly it is that they need assistance with? So that the teacher is able to help to the best of their abilities. Secondly, They should think through , “Am I willing to put in the effort to succeed in the change I’m asking for?” , and last but not least , “Am I going to be committed?”
