About
My goal in teaching students to play the piano is to develop a "love" for music and especially piano music. The student will be required to read musical notation, and count correctly. Also
correct hand position must be learned to learn to play musically. I encourage my students with sticker charts, a prize box from which the student can choose a prize of their choice when the sticker chart is filled. The process repeats itself over and over again.
I have been teaching piano since I was a teenager in my hometown of Crisfield, MD. I have taught piano all of my adult life. More than 25 years. I have done all of my teaching in Baltimore, MD since graduating from the Peabody.
I attended and graduated from the Peabody Conservatory of Music with a major in Music Education, a piano major with a minor in voice. I also have a Master's Equivalent, studying at the Peabody Conservatory, Morgan and Towson University to diversify my studies. I am Nattionally certified in the Mayron Cole Piano Method. I have also studied digital music at Southern Methodist University, So now I have a "one of kind" studio in the state of MD as I incorporate all of these elements into my piano lessons.
