What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With the variety of skill levels and instruments that we teach, this will vary! However, the most important part is getting to know the student and making sure there's a good teacher:student relationship. Assessment of skill level, goal setting and exploration are also a big part of the first lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
What makes our studio so special is that we are a collection of professionals with over 30 years of experience. Our teachers all have degrees in their insturment and have obtained prestigious awards and even accompanied many well-known artists.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons range from $25-$35 for 30 minute sessions.

Our teachers are passionate about spreading the joy of music. We believe music heals and transcends.
What types of students have you worked with?
Melissa T. Music lessons serve a diverse group of people varying in age and backgrounds. Out youngest student was two and oldest was 70 years old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Melissa T. Music lessons hold recitals semiannually; winter and spring. They are very fun, interactive and memorable events that allow for students to display their newly learned skills.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Whoever you hire, make sure they consider your personal goals! This is YOUR lesson!!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think of your long term and short term goals. Consider what your practice regimen will look like.
