About
I am a new guitar teacher looking for my first entry level students. I have been playing guitar for 21 years and singing for my entire life. I also played viola for 9 years. I recently started playing bass as well. I have performed in a variety of bands, choirs, and orchestras, and even sang for the Pope!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing I will ask is what music you want to play. During lessons, I will frequently use a song from an artist that you like to teach you a new concept. From time to time, I will teach using an artist that you maybe don't know, or never really listened to much to expand your musical experience. The best musicians draw from a wide variety of inspirations, so I will start with what you like and introduce new things to help you grow and learn new techniques.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$50/hr for all lessons. I am open to half hour or full hour lessons, depending on what suits the student.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher that is a good personality fit for you, and with similar musical interests. For example, if you love 60s music and that's primarily what you want to play, I'm probably not a good fit. If you want to play anything from the 80s to the present, or if you want to play blues, rock, folk, or acoustic rock, I might be the right teacher for you.
