About

32 years experience teaching in-home music lessons to students from age 4 to 84...Music is my life, i do it full time, and i make it FUN for my students. 40 years as a performing musician in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Long time member of the American Federation of Musicians. Very good with children and problem students. Holistic and real world methodology prepares students for: school band, ensemble playing (rock, jazz bands, etc.), note reading, music theory, interpretation, ear training. Most styles taught, with an emphasis on what the student really enjoys, which is the basis of my success...Music major (brass, guitar) in college (Dean's List), and a vast amount of performance experience enables me to teach 7 different instruments in many different styles.
