I believe in encouraging my students through exhibiting patience and an understanding of their individualized needs. I incorporate my unique and effective teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles. Translation: I will have you playing your favorite songs in no time! Most importantly, I believe that learning how to play guitar should be fun!

For more than 20 years, I have taught guitar to hundreds of students of all ages and levels. I teach my students fundamental skills and techniques which they apply to learning their favorite songs and music styles.

These include rock, pop songs, folk, swing, country, rockabilly and others. My specialty is blues and I offer guitar lessons in this style across all playing levels. I cover both flat picking and finger picking techniques.

I have always loved music since a young age and I have loved playing guitar since I was in high school. I became a professional performing musician and guitar instructor more than 25 years ago and have loved every minute of it! Sharing the experience of learning with my students is very rewarding.

I am an award winning guitar instructor (Bethesda 2013-2015) and I was also inducted to the Maryland Blues Hall of Fame in 2013 In recognition of my achievements during the past 20 years as a true bluesman. As a teacher and professional performing musician, my specialty is blues.
