About this pro

My business stands out because of great prices, great customer service, experience and the use of advanced technology.  I've been teaching students from five years old and up for over 20 years. Many of  The guitarists I've trained are playing professionally now. I have studied music all the way through college and have played professionally for many years.  I am also on the preferred independent guitarist instructor teacher list for the Herndon high school guitar program. I know what it takes to train guitarist to play music and achieve their goals.  Please visit my website. www.herndonguitar lessons.com

I really enjoy seeing the light go on in my students eyes when they realize that playing the guitar well it's something they can do. That is a tremendous moment between teacher and student.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

My typical process for working with the new student is as follows. I invite the student to my studio for a brief meeting to determine whether or not we have a match between instructor and student. Once lessons are arranged I then formulate an individual plan for each student.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My education and training or as follows. Play several instruments during school and studied guitar from Junior high school through college. Played in bands and pit orchestra us. Have been playing guitar for over 40 years and teaching for 20 years.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My standard fees are $30 per half an hour and $55 per hour.

How did you get started teaching?

For number of years I play guitar during the services at a very large church. Parents of potential guitar students asked me to teach their sons and daughters how to play worship music. That was 25 years ago. I've been teaching every since.

What types of students have you worked with?

I work with students of all ages and ethnic groups. Left-handed and right-handed guitar players. Every age from 5 1/2 to 70 years young.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

At the very least please come for a chat. Let's see if we have a match

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What are my music/guitar goals?
