I try to focus on first teaching students to play, to get the basics down and get the mechanics of their hands into a muscle memorization stage. Then as we progress, I'll introduce theory as it applies and as needed. I have been playing for over 40 years and have kept my passion and interest for the guitar at a high level by studying and delving into different styles from Rock to Jazz, Blues to Fingerstyle and all others inbetween.
