Thompson Tutoring School Of Music

We provide lessons in the comfort of your home and aftercare school programs! We are a school on wheels! No extra cost for teachers traveling to you! Serving over 350+ students in the Greater Kalamazoo Area! Adults and children. We also provide online lessons!

Most of our instructors have a Bachelors in Music. If not, they have been playing their instrument for over 10 years and are at an advanced level on their instrument. All of our teachers have had a background check.

We schedule lessons weekly during the same time slot, so that you have a consistent schedule. Currently, we have over 300 students taking lessons with 20 instructors. Lessons are weekly time slots and due to labor laws we are unable to provide a missed lesson. Instructors are required to be paid for their reserved time slots for lessons. We ask that you schedule your lesson during a time that will not have a conflict with other outside activities.

We set up lessons on AutoPay, so that you do not have to worry about making or missing payments. You may drop from taking lessons at any time.

We provide student-centered instruction, which means that we build the learning around your needs and interests. If you are the type that prefers to not use a lesson book, we can provide instruction for your needs. We also provide instruction using a structured and sequential format. The instruction will be designed around "your" needs. For example, if you are an adult who has joined a band and prefers to work on just your music, that is possible! If your child is 6 years old and you would like a structured curriculum, that is possible!
