    Frequently asked questions

My process of working with new students is to give everything in pieces. I don't like to overwhelme them with a bunch of different techniques and concepts. I believe in building a strong fundamentals and building on that.

I have been training in boxing and kickboxing for over 30 years. I've also been training in jiu-jitsu for over 10 years and currently hold a brown belt. I have 7 years of teaching/coaching in striking (boxing and kickboxing) and also jiu-jitsu.

It's 45 for an hour of training and 25 for a half hour.

I was training at a gym and the head instructor ended up moving away. The owner of the gym really liked my skill level and my ability to help the newer students. Heask if I would like to step in and fill the role and I was happy to do so.

I work with beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. Mostly I work with hobbyist who love a good workout and progress their skills. I've also work with amateur fighters getting ready for competition and cornering them in their fights.

Look for someone who can make it fun and also challenging. Also someone who is engaging with you and is willing to answer your questions with your best intentions in mind.

Know your why. Why are you wanting to get into training the art. It maybe you want to be the next world champion, you might want to try some amateur fights, you might want to get in shape, you might want to gain confidence in yourself, only you know why you want to do it. Also communicate that with your coach so they can figure out the best game plan for you.
