About this pro

Our goal through music lessons is to get you excited about playing music and help you become proficient at your instrument.  Firehouse Guitars has over 15 instructors on staff and has maintained over 100 students weekly for many years.  We find continued success by employing qualified teachers who love music and want to see their students succeed.  All of our lessons are done right here at the store.  Our lesson program is at the forefront of what we stand for here at Firehouse Guitars.  We want to help the next generation learn how to play their instrument, and help provide them with the best quality instrument that we can.

Each of our instructors have a passion for playing and we love to share that with our students.  Our favorite moments are seeing something "click" in a students head when they trully start to understand something or are able to play a specific piece proficiently for the first time.

I started maybe two months ago as a beginner and I already feel really comfortable with stuff that seemed impossible before. I could play a little, but lessons here really gave me more direction. Great instruction, very personable staff. Highly recommend this place!

I've been taking guitar lessons for quite a while and love it! The staff is very friendly, and my instructor Steve is a great teacher! I highly recommend!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

The process for working with a new student will vary per instructor, but each of them share some basic priciples.  We always assess the students current ability and knowledge, then figure out what their goals are.  We want to know if they are just looking to be able to strum a couple chords, play in their praise band at church, or shred in their friend's metal band.  This allows us to put a plan in place that will help the student reach their goals.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Private Music Lessons

Private lessons are the most in-depth lessons that we offer.  All of these lessons are 1 on 1 with the instructor and tailored specifically to where your student is at musically.  This allows the student to have the full attention of the instructor which allows the student to get the most out of each lesson.  We offer hour lessons at $40 each or half hour lessons for $20 each, and payment for the month is due at the first lesson of each month.

Intro To Guitar Classes

Our new intro to guitar classes allow the student to be in a more relaxed learning environment with other students while learning the fundamentals of guitar.  A lot of our students start out in a group lesson module then branch out to private lessons afterwards.  All of our intro class modules run 8 weeks, have a class size of 3 students, and will begin early January 2017.  Tuition is $140 ($17.50 per 45 minute class) and is due at the beginning of the first class.

Parent / Child Lessons

We are excited to now offer a new program in which the parent and child can participate in lessons together!  Music is something that brings people together and that holds true for learning together as well.  The Parent/Child lesson program is a special opportunity for parents who want to be directly involved with their child's learning experience.  This also allows a much better resource for the student between lessons as the parent and child can work together.  This is a flexible program in which the parent can be involved as much or for as long as they want. We understand there are children who may gain extra confidence and comfort having their parent learn alongside them.  This involvement can last as little as 1 month of lessons or as long as you want it to.  Firehouse can provide a guitar, during the lesson, for parents who simply want to learn alongside of their child in the beginning or are considering buying their own personal instrument.

Our original goal for this program was simply to give children a strong start to their lessons, but we've received a lot of positive feedback from parents who love to be able to interact with their child through music.  We've also seen a lot of parents recognize their own passion for playing music signing up for their own separate lessons eventually.  Our parent / child lessons are $30 per half hour and payment for the month is due at the first lesson of each month.

What types of students have you worked with?

We have taught all types of students including very beginners, a retired person looking to learn the blues, to even people playing every weekend in a band that just want to refine a certain aspect of their playing.
