Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The typical process for new students is going over your goals, if you're looking to compete as a fighter, looking to get in or stay in shape or just looking to learn the sport, what experience/knowledge you may have, past history of being active in the gym or any other sport, going over the basics, taking and answering any questions you may have and then getting started.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 10+ years of experience in this sport, as an amateur competing, as a judge in USA Boxing Sanctioned events and as a ref. I am USA Boxing Certified as such. I have also been teaching classes between two boxing gyms in the twin cities. Those classes very and I teach anywhere between 2 and 30 people per class, working with adults and kids. I can work with people individually or in groups.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Typically a one-on-one training session is $35 per 30 min session or $60 per 1 hour session. Unlimited monthly packages start at $450 per month.
I do have other pricing for groups and if your interested please reach out via text. 612-800-4778
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with adults, teens and kids of all ages. I work with both males and females, beginners with no experience and people with some to advanced experience/knowledge.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice to anyone looking to get into the sport would be to look for a trainer who is patient and knowledgeable with experience. Has the time to take on new clients. And someone who makes time for you before and after the sessions to answer any questions you may have.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about your goals and what you are looking to achieve. Make sure you are committed enough to make scheduled sessions. And be willing to work hard and push yourself.
