What is your typical process for working with a new student?
At Minnesota School of Music, we recognize that every student is an individual. We do not treat every student the same in terms of what or how we teach. A seven-year-old taking guitar lessons for the first time has very different needs than a fifty-seven-year-old taking up piano for the second time after having had lessons as a child. The main reason to select Minnesota School of Music is that we customize each lesson for you, ensuring you learn music that is relevant and interesting to you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our teachers got their education from prestigious institutions such as the University of Minnesota, the University of St. Thomas, Bethel University, Ithaca College, Indiana University, the University of Wisconsin--River Falls, and more.

Our lessons are $32 for each 30 minute lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
Our Director began teaching guitar lessons in his home in 2003. Since that time, Mr. Nehring has taught tens of thousands of lessons to students of all ages and abilities. We now have a staff of instructors who offer guitar, piano, voice, bass, and ukulele lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
We accept students ages 5 and up.

One of our former students won the 2016 Miss Minnesota's Outstanding Teen Contest and went on to compete in a national pagaent.
