About
I do everything I do because I couldn't imagine living my life any other way. Because of this, I am motivated by my passion to create, share, and teach people to do the same. This just happens to be through my music. I may teach you how to sing, play an instrument, write your own song, or even just what you need to know about music production, but in the end, I want you to have the tools to create and share your own art with the people you choose. That's why I'm here.
I love being able to share my love for music with the world. Whether it’s through composition or teaching others how to play an instrument, it fills me with joy to see others enjoy and grow their understanding of music.
I hope to empower you to be able to share this love for music in your own way by either being able to play your favorite songs for a loved one or even composing one of your own one day!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, I like to exchange some emails with a new student to get a better idea of what they are looking for. Then, I use the first lesson to lay the foundation of what the lesson structure will be going forward. I also use this time to allow them to ask any questions about how I teach and what they can expect from me. Usually, I try to tailor each of my student's lessons to their needs. This allows me to totally customize how they learn and I am pretty adaptable at changing the lesson structure on the fly if need be. It's always at the students pace.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied music composition and music business at Mcnally Smith College of Music. From there, I found the opportunity to begin teaching with All Thing Musik in 2017. They do both in home and studio lessons teaching all ages and instruments, many of which I cover. Currently, I teach piano, percussion, guitar (electric/acoustic), cello, and voice all at varying levels of advancement. The company is wonderful and after teaching with them for three years now, I have no intention of stopping. I simply want to expand what I'm doing because I love teaching so much!

What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with all types of students. To the beginning child who has never seen a piano, the experienced adult , or even the grandfather who learns one piece for his grandson's wedding ceremony, I have seen and taught so many different people that I'm pretty confident I can handle any unique situation you may bring to the table.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Please think about what you want to get out of your lessons so we can develop a clear game plan to achieve them. This could be as simple as just wanting to learn the fundamentals of the instrument to wanting to specifically learn to play the Toccata Fugue in D'Minor by next year.
Other than that, I'm pretty flexible and willing to work with any concern or question you may have. So, don't hesitate to ask anything really! I have a lot of music industry experience outside of playing instruments so you never know what I might know!
