About

Waldron Music Studio offers music lessons to students interested in studying piano, guitar, or voice. Shannon loves helping others find that musical creativity in them, and developing new and experienced musicians.

Music is a wonderful tool used to grow and develop minds, and facilitate in the creativity that music initiates. Science proves that the study of music increases concentration, focus, and brain development as it uses both the right and left brain. Learning an instrument can also help increase self esteem, study habits and perseverance!

Shannon Waldron graduated from Grand Canyon University with a BA in Vocal Performance and Elementary Education. Her seven years of teaching second and third grade, and 12 years of leading worship have given her many experiences with teaching in the regular classroom and in the music setting. If you have an interest in learning piano, guitar, or improving your vocal skills, A & S Waldron offers private lessons in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, and lessons online to students all over the United States.

Piano, voice, and guitar lessons are offered for people of all ages, within beginner and intermediate levels.

I love watching my students fall in love with making music! It is such a special gift to be able to share with others.

Frequently asked questions

I like to first find out if they have previous experience learning their instrument. We then discuss what mode of lessons work best for them (one on one lessons, Asynchronous lessons, or a course they can work through at their own pace). We choose a start date, they order any materials needed, and then we get started!

I have my BA in Elementary Education and Vocal Performance which required many music theory classes, in addition to proficiency in piano requirements. I have taught music lessons since 2003 and have also worked with many musicians on worship teams the past 12 years.

One on One Lessons are $1 per minute, paid monthly up front on the 1st of each month. 30 minute weekly lesson is $120 monthly. *Cost of books/materials are as needed.

Asynchronous Courses: $60 monthly (Class Weekly Lesson Posted, students send recordings of them practicing/playing for personal, unique feedback and instruction. *Cost of books/materials are as needed.

I started teaching while in college, continued teaching after college, and eventually opened up my own Music Studio in 2012 where I taught private lessons in addition to starting a Keys and Chords Music Academy at schools where I taught piano and guitar courses.

I have worked with students from ages 5 - adults.

I recently put together my student's video recital where we recorded our recital pieces. We included some fun bloopers at the end and put together a really great showcase of their hard work! Seeing each student's growth, in addition to their developing love for music makes me so happy!

It is really important to find a teacher who is a good fit for you! Personalities don't always mix well together, and it's okay to realize certain teachers just aren't a good fit for you. Be sure you know what is expected of you for practice time, recitals, and goals so that you are on the same page!

What do I need to succeed?
