Jillian Nicole Music

Jillian Nicole provides individualized lesson plans that help each student succeed toward personal musical goals. Whether it's learning material necessary to join the school orchestra, learning improvisation techniques for a band or starting an instrument from scratch-Jillian will work with each individual to facilitate their growth into the musician the student desires to be.

Jillian obtained a B.S. in music therapy from Augsburg University (Minneapolis) in 2013 and obtained national board certification from CBMT (Certification Board for Music Therapists) in 2014. She has been practicing as a hospice music therapist since 2014 and teaching private lessons since 2015. Outside of college and work in music therapy, Jillian has played violin and guitar in multiple ensembles in varying styles, including: jazz, bluegrass, irish and classical. She has a passion for fiddle and improvisatory techiniques as well as deep love for classical music and technique. Jillian has developed a unique teaching style brought about by her own eclectic journey in learning the violin/fiddle and guitar. She has grown a love for teaching and sharing the joy of learning music and how to be an all-around musician. She looks forward to continuing to share music with players of all ages for years to come.
