Hello! My name is Samantha Kirckof and I began teaching piano in 1997. I work with students ranging in age from 3 to adult. I customize the lesson plans according to the student's goals and comfort. I love to focus on musical terminology, note reading, and theory thus preparing students to learn more instruments in the future, if they desire to. I offer lessons in person (St Paul and Burnsville) as well as virtually. I strive to help students overcome challenges and take pride in their accomplishments!
I teach Monday through Thursdays. My current openings are as follows:
Monday in St Paul: 2:30
Tuesday in Burnsville: 3:00
Wednesday in Burnsville: 3:45, 4:00

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to schedule a meet and greet before our first lesson. This allows the student to get familiar with the space, sit at the piano and get a feel for what lessons would be like. I go through the contract and answer any questions. We schedule our weekly lesson time and await our first lesson.
The first few weeks are spent getting familiar with the piano itself, learning some basics with simple songs and exercises, and developing a practice routine at home.
