What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students can expect to feel comfortable learning the basics of guitar at their own pace. Easy-to-follow lesson materials, in addition to my 24/7 text availability for questions, will create a successful environment for new students to thrive.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Although hands-on practice is arguably the best experience qualifier for learning an instrument, I did obtain an arts degree back in 2019 and I have been treaching guitar for about 6 years.

As a student in college, teaching guitar allows for a flexible work schedule. Unfortunately, it also means I understand the term "overpriced." At Guitar Lessons with Isaac, I ensure that all of my prices are fair for my students. I provide instruction at a rate of less than $19/half hour and more information on lesson pricing can be obtained by contacting me.
How did you get started teaching?
I discovered while learning guitar myself that sharing your abilities and knowledge with others is both productive and rewarding. As a teacher, I have learned more about how to play guitar by teaching others than learning by myself.
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds! Beginners, intermediates and those who are skilled but just needed some rust scraped off. No matter who you are, feel free to contact me!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Besides being a guitar teacher, I am an FAA-certified pilot who is working their way up towards the airlines. I recently obtained a new pilot rating, called the instrument rating, and I am excited to continue in my training.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for somone who tries to teach you, not just someone who simply teaches guitar. Lesson content should be personalized to individual people for the best learning outcomes. As a student, you will likely be more content as well!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I like to ask new students the following...
"What got you wanting to learn guitar?"
"What would you consider your primary motivations to be for learning guitar?"
"What style of music would you like to learn?"
"How long and/or often would you like your lesson times to be?"
"What are you main goals for learning guitar?"
"How much time do you want to spend dedicated to practicing guitar every week?"
These questions, among others, are a great way to understand your guitar learning needs before getting started.
