Keys To The Music
About
Hi! We believe in teaching what our students want to learn. Not everyone is college bound or have the goal of being a performing artist. A big part of teaching is building relationships and finding each student's unique learning style. We want your experience with us to be fun! We want to inspire you and make your life better. Come and meet us; we are sure you will feel the difference when you first walk in the door.
There is nothing better than experiencing moments when 'the light comes on' or the smile on a student's face when they realize they can do it.....that confidence.
Having said that, music is our passion. We've spent many years teaching, studying, performing, directing... we want to share our knowledge and love of music with you

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first lesson is just getting to know our students and what it is they want to learn. We are focused on building relationships with them as well as providing a fun, educational experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our instructors are either degreed school music instructors or experienced performing musicians. Most are both! We are very selective when bringing on a teacher. Our current instructors have over 100 years combined teaching experience!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We run on a tuition based system. 30 minute weekly lessons are $100 per month. This is based on 4 lessons/month. Some months will have 5 and others 3; they balance eachother out and make monthly tuition easy!
How did you get started teaching?
All of our instructors have unique stories. Some of us have been playing since we were 3-4 years old and all we ever wanted to do was teach. Others of us studied music and have performed for years; then, decided teaching was our calling. Ask your instructor what his/her story is!
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with all types of students. From babies in our interactive children's classes to seniors learning piano for the first time.... from young people trying to find what they like to serious high school/college students competing and majoring in music. We have extensive experience working with students with disabilities. Many of our students are autistic, are challenged with Aspergers, Dislexia or other diagnosis. Music has changed many of their lives and brings about a huge improvement in their academics and social skills.
What they all have in common is a love for music and the enjoyment it brings to them.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Our most exciting event is our annual Concert in the Park. Each summer we have a concert in our local amphitheatre where students do new things: sing and play, perform in a rock band, sing in a choir... all of this with a guest band/performer and the teachers also perform in their own rock band! It is accompanied by a BBQ and even an icecream truck on occassion! It's something none of us ever forget!
