If they have anything prepared to play I listen to that.A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:Depends on the students goals, but a 30 minute lesson may be half fundamentals (scales, reading, drills) and half songs (whatever you want to play...Green Day, Taylor Swift or your own).The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:Anybody with a guitar who has a burning desire to improve!

I've played professionally since age 15, studied music education at Kansas University, toured with and recorded with several bands and artists and taught lessons since 1984.
