Shock City School of Music is an affiliate of the Most Trusted Recording Studio in St Louis! At Shock City School of Music, we are commited to spirited learning, growth, development and fun. We empower our students to ask insightful questions, explore creativity through creation, learning and performance of music. Our unique and individualistic approach is wonderful for all ages an abilities. We have locations in Benton Park (South City), Maplewood, and online.
We love teaching the joy of music to students of all ages! The professionally trained instructors of Shock City School of Music teach musicians of all levels and abilties ranging from beginner, intermediate, advanced, and professional. You may choose from private piano, voice, guitar, performance training, studio training, studio recording, mic technique and more. We offer a wide array of music genres as well.
Our students truly ENJOY each lesson with us. They become empowered through learning a new instrument or perfecting one they have been playing for years. Music strenghtens the creativity of each student and allows you to embrace the strong feeling of the joy that music brings.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will do a formal intake for each new student. It is important that we place each student with the instructor that is most capatible with their level and goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Each of our instructors hold a bachelors or masters degree in music and specifically in the instrument in which they teach. The entire staff is active in the community in music performance and is involved in local bands, plays in the community, or tours worldwide.

We offer lessons in 30, 45, and 60 minute increments. All pricing information is available on our website.
