Sam is an amazing piano teacher, and I appreciate his unique teaching approach of teaching me how to “play by ear” a little first, which includes various chords (great for engagement). Then once we’ve worked through a few sessions he started incorporating sheet music learnings too. He does a great job of keeping his students engaged and always makes it fun by playing along on the drums at the end of class so we can see how what we learned can be integrated into actual music. It truly brings the lesson full circle. I would definitely recommend Sam for anyone wishing to learn an instrument; not just children, but adults too. As you get older we fall into the rut of “I’m too old for” but if you show up, Sam will make sure you feel confident in what you’re learning and is very patient along the way.

Our kiddo started taking drums with Ready Set Go 6 months ago and he has had a wonderful experience. We switched from taking lessons at a larger franchise and we are so happy we made the change. The owner and teacher of RSG is incredibly talented and patient. You won’t be disappointed with Ready Set Go Music School!

Hello, my name is Samuel Lee Blue, founder and director of RSG (Ready Set Go) Music School. I graduated Maplewood-Richmond Heights in 2015. I was the lead piano player in MRH jazz band and assistant choir director my senior year. Since then, I have produced three Christmas albums and one Christian Pop album. I also performed in jazz venues, charity events, and weddings. My mission is to empower the next generation of musicians in the world today so they can impact the music industry in a positive way. I believe nothing is impossible if you believe; and put hard work and dedication into your craft.
