With a trial lesson, I am confident that you will know why my piano studio stands out. There are many piano teachers. However, you will not receive the same results in the same amount of given time. I am confident that I can most effectively provide results for you, and, most importantly, inspire you/your child to enjoy the process throughout the musical journey.
Also, my unique educational background in both piano performance and music education distinguishes me from other teachers in the area. I have learned not only the technical skills to teach students, but also on how to communicate most effectively to students through innovative, fun, and creative teaching methods. Each student has unique personalities and motivations to pursue piano, and I believe in a student-centered approach where I cater to each student's unique goals and interests.
I am extremely passionate about inspired and effective teaching. I aspire to not only guide students reach technical and musical maturity, but also ultimately explore music at a holistic, humanistic level, where it fundamentally becomes life transforming.
My biggest goal as a piano teacher and educator is to essentially become a mentor to students. I want to take part in helping students realize their full potential at the piano. I love connecting with students on a one-to-one level and knowing what he or she is passionate about. With this emotional connection and trust between the teacher and student, I believe that true music can be made. This is what is most rewarding and fulfilling to me as a teacher--seeing the look of contentment and excitement when a student expresses the connection between piano playing and the world around him or her.
I have been working with Dr Lee for my kids. She is an excellent piano teacher and motivate my kids to the next level. I strongly recommend her.
I sat through my daughter's first few lessons with Ms.Lee and I was amazed with her ability to engage the student in a very musical and intellectual conversations. My daughter is planning to be a piano performance major and we are very fortunate to be studying with Ms. Lee. I also introduced Ms.Lee to my friend and her 13 year old son just started lessons with her last month. I heard great things from them. I think she has specific approaches for different students and i really like how she customizes her lesson based on student's ability and musical goals.
I cannot express how satisfied I am with Ms. Lee's teaching. I have had many cello teachers in the past, but Ms. Lee has helped me in so many ways possible that surpassed my expectations--whether it is technically or musically. I can say that each lesson felt truly productive and helpful--and most importantly, that Ms. Lee really cared about my musical growth. Thank you so much! I highly recommend lessons with Ms. Lee to you :)

Currently, I am working as a full-time professor as Assistant Professor of Music at Bethel College. Besides my passion in academia, I enjoy teaching private piano lessons in the studio one-on-one or via skype from ages 5 to 80. I love to teach a variety of students in a variety of settings. However, I require a one trial lesson with the student before officially beginning studies with a student.
