What types of students have you worked with?
All types! Students ages 6 to 86, students playing for fun and students preparing to major in music in college, students with physical and learning disabilities. We do our best to meet each student where they are and adapt our lesson plans to each students' needs and interests.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do you want to play an instrument? Do you love the sound? Do you want to make music with others? Would you like to play in an orchestra or band? There's no one right or wrong answer, but if you can remember why you want to play an instrument, it can help keep you motivated during the challenging parts.
