As a professionally trained musician and singer, Phylicia has had the opportunity to travel to Germany, Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Luxembourg with groups such as The University of Memphis University Singers and The Glory Gospel Singers of New York. In addition, she is the author of Healthy Choices Healthy Voices: Practical Ways for Becoming a Better Singer. Phylicia is a believer in continued education as a key to success. She received her Masters in Education from Freed Hardeman University in Henderson, TN and her Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our goal is to provide each student with a quality musical experience. Each student will receive a well rounded approach in learning music. The lesson plans are designed to meet the needs of each individual student. The vocal music styles taught include: Classical, Jazz, Gospel, Blues, Muscial Theater, Rock, and Pop. Our schedule fills up very fast. All prospective students must successfully complete a consultation and pass a cognitive skills test before being accepted into the music conservatory.
